Why is vitamin D important?

Vitamin D deficiency can be the cause of many diseases (e.g. obesity, frequent respiratory infections, asthma, allergies, cancer, osteoporosis). The main source of this vitamin is sun exposure. The sun's rays are essential for our health, but excessive sunbathing can cause skin cancer due to harmful UV radiation. It is particularly important to take it slow. If you haven't been sunbathing at all because your job has prevented you from doing so, make sure you do so gradually when you start your holiday. Don't suddenly shock your body with a long exposure to the sun, as this can easily lead to problems.

Practical ideas:
