Why can fasting be suitable for preventing viral infections?

Health

Thus, in the middle of the second wave of the coronavirus, everyone is on their way to avoiding infection in some way. There are those who stay at home for this purpose, and there are those who wear the most expensive masks. However, there are those who try to support their immune system from the inside so that it can take effective action against the pathogen.

Supporting our immune system is really the best way to avoid or at least survive the disease with mild symptoms!

But still, how should you approach this if you want to do more than consume the high-dose vitamin D recommended everywhere on the internet?

Because of the title of the article, there is certainly a curiosity as to why fasting can be effective in preventing viral infection. To understand this, let’s first review, without any medical jargon, what happens in our body when we encounter the pathogen!

What does the virus do?

When the so-called SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus infection, enters the human body, it tries to bind to a receptor that is found mainly in the cells of the air sacs in our lungs.

From now on, viruses will take control of our body in a very vile way. They almost “take possession of our body” and turn it to their own advantage. This is because after binding, the virus introduces its inheritance into the cells of our body and begins to direct them, while also significantly damaging them.

And what do you use them for? To multiply the material of the virus so that there is even more of it in our body.

What does our immune system do for this?

Because of the infection, our immune system works and the inflammatory stimulants in our body increase.

If this immune process is overactive and the number of inflammatory substances does not decrease over time, most of the problems cause pneumonia. As a result, pulmonary edema, respiratory distress and lack of oxygen can occur, followed by multiple organ failure, which can even lead to death.

But there’s our built-in cell monitoring system, autophagy!

Fortunately, there is a certain safety system in our body, autophagy, that works with the help of a lysosome that performs intracellular digestion. This lysosome destroys and recycles invading pathogens. It then introduces the incoming virus to our immune system so that the next time it encounters it, it can take more effective action against it.

It also plays an important role in keeping the inflammation in the immune system at an appropriate level.

When is autophagy most active?

Autophagy protects us even when we are in the most difficult period. Such is the case with hunger! In fact, this is when you work most efficiently!

In its operation, it recycles ingested intruders, which it then uses to supply the starving cells with nutrients.

So what happens when the intruder comes and the cells are just starving?

The system of autophagy seeks even more to kill the pathogen so that it can supply our body with enough nutrients. In contrast, under nutrient-rich conditions, the autophagy system can even be inhibited, which eliminates this kind of protective role of our body against the virus.

In addition, viruses use the body’s energy to multiply, so their infectivity also decreases as a result of starvation.

That's why fasting is good!

Now you can see how fasting is linked to the prevention of coronavirus infection.

Studies suggest that weekly fasting may be able to stimulate autophagy through nutrient deficiencies, thus reducing the infectivity of viruses seeking to enter. Moreover, it even reduces inflammation in the body - and with it the lungs!

Researchers at the University of Tokyo have found that after a fast of up to 24 hours, a process called autophagy is intensified, meaning that the cells kill the pathogens, and a fast of more than 72 hours also acts against malfunctioning immune cells.

Of course, fasting does not mean that you cannot bring anything into your body. After all, you definitely need fluids, so you can drink as much clean water as you can during the day.

Along with water, you should also get vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to support your immune system. Antioxidants are especially important because they can reduce the stress that can occur due to starvation and help neutralize the waste products created by fasting.

However, it is important that you smuggle these valuable substances into your drinks naturally and by no means live on artificial pills or drops during fasting because it will only strain your immune system!

Various berries such as blueberries, elderberries, blackcurrants or sea buckthorns are best suited for the intake of antioxidants. In addition to their high mineral and vitamin content, they have an effect that even helps to fight viral infections (flavonoids, carotenoids).

Beets are also recommended, as they increase the detoxification capacity of the liver during fasting.

However, it is not easy to obtain berries during this period, and centrifuging the beets for the fasting cure is very macerous.

For this reason, I offer you a simple but very useful solution. Make it fast with Orifit and Purfit fruit and vegetable concentrates. Why? Because all the valuable active ingredients remain in them, because they are made with a gentle process. These fruit and vegetable concentrates, which pleasantly quench your hunger and thirst, cleanse, detoxify and tonic, are the real blessings of nature.

You may want to try them because they also provide you with the most intensive method of detoxification.

All you have to do is mix a stick of concentrate in a glass of water. If you crave an intense fast, I suggest alternating between the two concentrates every 3 hours throughout the day. (Eg, drink Orifit at 8, Purfit at 11, Orifit at 2, Purfit at 5, Orifit at 8)

I encourage you to try fasting with InnoFit products! This is the fastest way for your body to get rid of toxic substances. Do your best to be healthier and more energetic.
